Move your Ring Battery Doorbell forward from a mounting surface with a purpose-built Hidden River Lab doorbell spacer. Choose from nine separate, fixed-depth options between 0.5" and 2.5" in 0.25" increments for Ring Battery Doorbell 4K Pro (5DFYA6), 2K Plus (5DCFAB), and 2K (5DFYA5), all second-generation models. Each purchased spacer has one fixed depth - it is not adjustable.

The 0.5" fixed-depth option creates room behind the doorbell to manage or conceal appropriate low-voltage wiring and connectors, including wire nuts where their use is permitted. Battery-powered installations may not require wiring, but the internal space remains available.

The deeper fixed-depth options position the doorbell farther forward from a recessed doorway, alcove, or set-back mounting position, helping provide clearance from nearby trim or architectural obstructions. Every size uses the same compatible mounting layout and includes internal wiring space.

Before checkout, select your preferred spacer depth and color using the product variant selectors. You receive one spacer manufactured at the selected depth, not a multi-size kit or an adjustable spacer. The listed depth is the additional distance from the mounting wall to the doorbell mounting plane; the installed doorbell adds its own thickness.

Clearance measurement: The selected spacer provides one fixed offset. The installed doorbell projects farther than that offset because its body has its own thickness. Consider the combined projection when measuring a recess or surrounding trim.

How to select a depth: Choose one fixed-depth variant when ordering. The 0.5" size is often sufficient when the goal is to organize low-voltage wires or suitable connectors behind the doorbell. Choose a deeper size when the doorbell must sit farther forward from a recessed surface or obstructing trim. Depth cannot be adjusted after installation.

→ Include the thickness of the Ring doorbell. The total projection to the device front is approximately the selected fixed spacer depth plus the doorbell body’s projection beyond its mounting plane. Measure the clearance needed at the front of the doorbell and account for the doorbell body before ordering. If the combined projection matters, choose the appropriate fixed-depth variant rather than assuming the spacer can be extended later.
