Overview

Replace a large legacy intercom door station with a modern video doorbell while covering the original wall opening and adding a built-in side angle for improved camera positioning. This 6.5" × 4.75" three-piece 25° intercom retrofit adapter by Hidden River Lab is designed for the Ring Battery Doorbell Pro (2nd Gen) and Ring Battery Doorbell Plus (2nd Gen).

Designed for many NuTone / M&S (Music & Sound) legacy intercom installations and similar-size openings, the adapter covers the old intercom cutout and creates a proper mounting interface for your Ring battery doorbell. The three-piece interlocking design consists of a base plate, interface, and 25° corner mount for a clean, secure finished installation.

The built-in 25° horizontal side angle helps aim the camera toward your entry path when a straight 0° installation would point the view too far along the wall.

Installation Notes

Basic tools required (e.g., screwdriver).

▪︎ Remove the existing intercom door station and safely manage any existing wiring.

▪︎ Position the 6.5" × 4.75" base plate over the old intercom opening and reuse existing mounting locations where appropriate.

▪︎ Position the interface over the base plate and press it firmly into place. The two components use an interlocking snap-fit mechanism. You should feel and/or hear a distinct click when the interface is fully engaged and locked onto the base plate.

▪︎ After the interface clicks securely into the base plate, secure the assembly with the included machine screws.

▪︎ Choose the orientation that angles the camera toward the area you want to capture, then position the 25° corner mount onto the interface.

▪︎ Press the 25° corner mount firmly into place. It also uses an interlocking snap-fit mechanism. You should feel and/or hear a distinct click when the corner mount is fully engaged with the interface.

▪︎ After the 25° corner mount clicks securely into place, secure it with the included self-tapping screws.

▪︎ Before mounting the doorbell, verify that all three components are fully seated, securely interlocked, and properly fastened.

▪︎ Mount the compatible Ring battery doorbell to the completed 25° adapter assembly using the appropriate included mounting hardware.

▪︎ Follow Ring’s instructions for final doorbell setup and installation.

▪︎ Weather-seal the installation as appropriate for your wall, opening, and environment.
