Overview

Aim your doorbell camera slightly higher or lower with the 5.5° reversible vertical wedge mount from Hidden River Lab. Designed exclusively for Ring Wired Doorbell 4K Pro (3rd Gen), Model 5DFYA2, this mount can tilt the camera 5.5° upward or 5.5° downward depending on how you install it.

This mount is useful on suitable traditional wood or metal clapboard siding, where a slight surface slope needs correction, or on a solid flat wall when you want to aim the camera a little higher or lower.

Tilting the camera down can help bring steps or a lower walkway into view. Flip the wedge to tilt upward if the doorbell is mounted lower than desired. What is visible depends on the camera's field of view and where the doorbell is installed.

Important: This adapter is made exclusively for Ring Wired Doorbell 4K Pro (3rd Gen), Model 5DFYA2. It does not fit Wired Doorbell 2K Plus (5DFYA3), Wired Doorbell 2K (5DFYA4), or Ring Battery models. Verify your model number before ordering.

Angle selection: Turn the wedge over to choose 5.5° up or 5.5° down. This changes the direction the camera points, not how wide its field of view is.

Installation Notes

Basic installation tools may be required (e.g., screwdriver). Follow the installation instructions for your exact Ring doorbell model.

▪︎ Step 1 — Verify the Ring model. Confirm that you have Wired Doorbell 4K Pro (3rd Gen), model 5DFYA2.

▪︎ Step 2 — Check the camera view. Decide whether the camera needs to point 5.5° higher or lower. Confirm that the mounting surface can support the wedge.

▪︎ Step 3 — Prepare the surface. Use a solid, flat wall or suitable traditional wood or metal clapboard. Make sure solid material behind the surface can hold the screws securely.

▪︎ Step 4 — Choose the direction. Turn the wedge over to tilt the camera up or down.

▪︎ Step 5 — Secure the wedge. Use the supplied long mounting screws and solid supporting material to fasten the wedge securely.

▪︎ Step 6 — Attach the original Ring bracket. Secure the Ring mounting plate to the wedge with the appropriate supplied short screws.

▪︎ Step 7 — Install and check the doorbell. Install the doorbell according to Ring's instructions. Check the final camera direction and make sure outdoor sealing is appropriate.

This wedge changes the camera's up/down tilt only. It does not turn the camera left or right or fit shaped vinyl Dutch Lap siding that needs its own siding-specific mount. Follow Ring's electrical installation requirements.
