Overview

Direct your Ring Battery Doorbell camera toward the walkway, entrance, or other important approach area with this 35° reversible horizontal corner mount from Hidden River Lab. It fits the second-generation Ring Battery Doorbell 4K Pro (5DFYA6), 2K Plus (5DCFAB), and 2K (5DFYA5).

The mount turns the camera 35° to the left or right, depending on how you orient it. One adapter serves either side of a doorway; no separate left-hand and right-hand purchase is required.

A key use case is mounting on a side wall perpendicular to the front door. The fixed 35° turn helps direct the camera back toward the doorway. Depending on the doorbell's wide-angle field of view and the entry layout, the image may also include the adjacent wall and approach area.

It is also useful on a wall parallel to the front door when the mounting point is located well to one side. Turning the camera 35° toward the entrance can help bring the area immediately in front of the doorway into view.

This is a standalone corner mount for a suitable flat, stable mounting surface, not a large wall-covering trim plate. It does not add vertical inclination and is not designed to conceal an oversized legacy opening.

Choose a direction: Install the same corner mount for 35° left or right as needed. The angle is fixed at 35°; it does not adjust continuously. Check that the intended framing is possible in your entry layout.

Ideal Installation Scenarios

1. Perpendicular side wall: If the doorbell is installed on a side wall perpendicular to the plane of the front door, a straight mount may point the camera away from the doorway. The 35° corner mount turns the camera toward the entrance. With the compatible Ring doorbell's wide-angle camera, this can help include the front door and part of the adjacent side-wall or approach area within the same view, depending on placement.

2. Parallel wall with an offset mounting point: If the doorbell is mounted on a wall parallel to the door but positioned farther to the left or right, the 35° turn helps point the camera toward the area directly in front of the entrance. Choose the orientation that turns the lens inward toward the doorway.

Viewing-area note: This mount changes camera direction, not the optical field of view. Seeing the door, side wall, walkway, or a visitor at the same time depends on the Ring model, mounting position and height, distance, and obstructions. Check the intended view before fastening the mount.

Installation Notes

Basic installation tools may be required (e.g., screwdriver). Follow the installation instructions for your exact Ring doorbell model.

▪︎ Step 1 — Verify the compatible Ring model. Confirm model 5DFYA6, 5DCFAB, or 5DFYA5.

▪︎ Step 2 — Choose the viewing direction. Decide whether a 35° left or right turn will frame the door and intended approach. For a perpendicular side wall, aim back toward the entrance; for an offset parallel wall, aim inward toward the doorway.

▪︎ Step 3 — Check the mounting surface. Choose a sound, flat installation area and verify that screws can engage appropriate backing.

▪︎ Step 4 — Orient the corner mount. Position the reversible mount so the front face turns toward the selected side.

▪︎ Step 5 — Secure the mount. Fasten it using suitable supplied long mounting screws and appropriate support behind the wall finish.

This mount does not substitute for siding-profile adapters or for an oversized wall-opening cover plate. It changes mounting direction only; camera field of view and coverage remain determined by the Ring model and installation geometry.
