Overview

Upgrade a legacy intercom opening with a clean retrofit made for the discontinued Ring Video Doorbell Elite (1st Gen). This two-piece intercom adapter plate by Hidden River Lab covers many NuTone / M&S intercom cutouts and provides a proper mounting surface for your Elite doorbell. The hidden-screw design keeps the install neat while maintaining a 0° straight view for natural camera framing.

Important: This adapter is for Ring Video Doorbell Elite (1st Gen) (discontinued / previous model) only.

• Newer Elite models (including newer “Wired Doorbell Elite” variants)

• Any other Ring models not listed above

• OEM corner/wedge kits

• Non-flat mounting surfaces

What’s Included

▪︎ 1 × Back plate (covers the intercom opening; reuses existing holes where possible)

▪︎ 1 × Face plate (mounting interface for Ring Video Doorbell Elite 1st Gen)

▪︎ Machine screws to secure the back plate and face plate together (hidden-screw design)

✖︎ Doorbell and wall screws/anchors are not included. Photos may show example setups for illustration.

Installation Notes

Basic tools required (e.g., screwdriver). Anchors may be needed depending on your wall surface.

▪︎ Remove the old intercom door station.

▪︎ Position the back plate over the existing opening (reuse old holes where possible).

▪︎ Attach the face plate to the back plate using the included machine screws.

▪︎ Mount the Ring Video Doorbell Elite (1st Gen) to the face plate.

▪︎ Weather-seal as appropriate for your environment.

Materials & Finish

♺ 3D-printed durable plastic for everyday outdoor use.

▪︎ New condition. Minor internal artifacts may be visible due to additive manufacturing (3D printing). External faces are designed to present cleanly once installed.
